Shaped edge makes gala even more inviting.

“This shaped invite really shows what’s possible in die-cut invite printing,” said O’Brien. “Unlike a round shape or an oval, this shape gave the piece an added dimensional quality that’s really exciting.”

It’s going to be an evening that harkens back to The Tropicana in Old Havana, circa 1944.  And while great food, entertainment, dancing, and music will abound, the real reason for the evening is to get people to come and support the mission of the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring.

In addition to peaking interest for the event and increasing RSVPs, the shaped invite also sets the mood for the evening to come.  Its unique presentation hints at the caliber and the quality of what’s in store.

“We wanted to do something really different this year,” said Deb Thielen, executive director of the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring.  “Since Havana is so tropical and colorful, we wanted the invite to mirror those colors, shapes and textures.”

According to Karen O’Brien, co-owner of Tampa-based ThinkShapes Mail, this was one of the more intricate dies they’ve worked with recently.

“This shaped invite really shows what’s possible in die-cut invite printing,” said O’Brien.  “Unlike a round shape or an oval, this shape gave the piece an added dimensional quality that’s really exciting.”

The finished size fits neatly into a 8” x 8” cream colored envelope with a custom label also done by ThinkShapes Mail.

“We’re always striving to set our organization apart,” said Thielen.  “Pieces like this give us the opportunity to do just that.”
