Shorten the run but not the impact with digital printing.

If you’ve ever worked with or sat on a non-profit Board, then you know how precious every penny is to meeting the mission. Digital printing is the ideal way to eliminate waste, both in printed pieces and in funding.

If you’ve ever worked with or sat on a non-profit Board, then you know how precious every penny is to meeting the mission.

For the Pasco County Fair Association, their proud 67-year history had never included a formal sponsorship brochure asking for financial support of the County’s official agricultural Fair and its many special events. When they set out to create one with a local design team, it was imperative that the entire Board use their marketing dollars wisely, and print only what they needed to approach sponsor prospects.

The solution?  Digital printing from ThinkShapes Mail.  Since less than 200 pieces were needed, the design team was able to create a high caliber piece that was printed and assembled at ThinkShapes that was as high quality as offset printing without all the waste.

“A short run of custom pieces like this brochure is a great way to maximize a marketing budget,” said Jim O’Brien, co-owner of Tampa-based ThinkShapes Mail.  “It demonstrated the high quality of our digital outputs as well.”

The Pasco County Fair Association is now securing sponsors, who are reacting very receptively to the new sponsor brochure.  It helped make sure all committees who have gone out on their own in the past to secure funding would now have a united effort and more leverage among their sponsor prospects.  Plus, the Board is thrilled at the prospect of not having a few hundred 2014 brochures sitting around in 2015.

“Not all projects require large runs, but they all require quality printing,” said Jennifer Frazier, creative director on the project.  “Printing short runs for brochures like this help us keep the project costs down and the impact high.”
